Full refurbishment of Primark Headquarters located in Reading. A 1960’s Steel frame structure.
Part of the scope of this project was to create an atrium in the building. Pristine London were appointed to carry out full demolition of the centre core including demolition of concrete slabs and cutting of steels to create the opening. Furthermore Pristine London also undertook full strip out of the building and demolition of lift shafts.
Removal of 2000 tonnes of hardcore removed from site, achieving a 97% recycle rate.
The monitoring system used was a TM30 system, this allowed us to track any movements within the structure during the steel removal works. Regular readings were taking at 5 minute intervals.
The temporary support used consisted of slimshor and tirfors mounted from the existing steel structure.
